As a Certified Hand Therapist with 20 years experience I have sincerely enjoyed treating a wide variety  of problems like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tendonitis, Arthritis, Fractures, Amputations, Lacerations, CRPS, Post Operative Tendon Rehab, Tendon Transfers, Congenital Deformity, as well as Musicians Injuries and Conditions related to the Spine.

Spine Strengthening with Medx Medical Machines

MedX Medical Grade Machines, seen at Medxoinline.com, provide precision strengthening for many of the most common neck and back problems, many of which can affect hand function.  Computer Testing of Strength, Range, and Progress offer critical validations and motivation to recover.

Spinal Rehabilitation

Mckenzie Institute (I'm in training) has helped significantly with identifying which exercises make the biggest difference.  This requires evaluating each exercise on it's merits  in reducing pain or having some measurable benefit right now.  While providing hands on care when needed, Mckenzie philosophy seeks first to empower patients to care for themselves in a strategic way.  In addition,  Medx Strengthening if indicated, can be a powerful and effective aid in helping patients gain both independence reinforced with the highest level strengthening technology.

See MedxOnline.com and MckenzieUSA for more information.

After the death of my dad, Richard Petzoldt, MD, a hand surgeon in San Jose,  my mother Fayanna, with the help and dedication of my fathers staff, established the RL Petzoldt Memorial Center for Hand Rehabilitation in 1986.

Inspired by their example, I joined in 1997 with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
